I’m Kristin, mom of 3 boys, wife, educator, dog mom, adventure-seeking, chocolate addict who loves to have fun!
I was a career driven administrator in charter schools coaching teachers, teacher coaches, and principals in their curriculum implementation. Then BAM!… baby boy #3 spun me out of that world, out of the best city NOLA into a beautiful suburb with amazing public schools, and I’m settling into this beautiful new role as a SAHM.
I now have 3 boys, 3 and under! I stay at home with my boys and engage in what I love to call mom-schooling. My boys will go to public schools from Kindergarten on, so I feel so blessed to be able to enjoy every waking moment I have with them and engage in meaningful play and learning. I am a very Type A, logistical, planner, so I take this mom-schooling gig very seriously. I love to share ideas, crafts, themes, calendars, and events I like to do around my beautiful town of Mandeville, LA.
Being an educator is such a big part of my identity so I thankfully found a job teaching English to students half way across the word before by boys get up in the morning and after they go to bed! I will share the ups, downs, uglies, and tips of balancing work and babies at home!
I LOVE throwing themed parties! It is something I have enjoyed since college and can spend hours on Pinterest pinning great ideas and designing the perfectly tied-together shindig. I can sometimes commit to too many things, like perfect pictures taped to the juice boxes…. so I share the funny stories, the mess ups, and how to stay alive during the whole process!
I was a gymnast for 18 years of my life. These were the toughest, most exhilarating years of my life. I learned so many life lessons from the sport, it helped pay for my Division 1 scholarship to Temple University, and got to travel all around the country for competition. It also tore my body apart as I have had 6 surgeries and countless injuries from the sport which is far less than most of my gymnast friends. I want my sons to learn that hard work doesn’t always mean triumph, pain is temporary, and no one can break your mind and spirit but yourself. I learned so much about health, wellness, and happiness from the sport that I love to share.
Lastly, I got my cooking skills from my mom… love you mom but that means only meatloaf, salmon, tuna salad, and a few other staples. Now that I have to feed almost a basketball team sized family, I am learning how to cook and enjoy the process. I will share easy, delicious, meals that I can prepare for the whole family to enjoy at the dinner table every night after our family prayer to thank God for this beautiful life!
